Stephen Hawes

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Stephen Hawes joined CFL in March 2015. He received the IDEA Grant in 2015 as a sophomore, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Computer Science Engineering. He designed, built, and exhibited his wrist-mounted flamethrower at the 2014 New York Maker Faire. He was also the CTO of the UConn 3D Printing Club, where he developed a 3D scanning machine. Outside of school, Stephen enjoys snowboarding, 3D printing, and slacklining.
